Halloween with Pooh & Piglet

Pictures of Piglet compliments of Faven's teacher, Miss Diana.
The girls had a great Halloween. They were really into it this year so I think we felt compelled to incorporate Halloween "stuff" almost every day as early as October 1st. It may not seem early, but 31 days of us coming up with some sort of holiday activity, is a lot. We were creative and put in some effort, but then again, we didn't. Who would of thought putting glow sticks in a plastic pumpkin and "letting" them run free in the backyard would make them both extremely happy. It doesn't take much for our girls to jump for joy. Holidays help this.

Faven became obsessed with pumpkins at first sight. Every other word she said was "pumpkin".  She loved pumpkin picking, pumpkin carving, painting pumpkins, baking pumpkin muffins, reading about pumpkins, drawing pumpkins, decorating our front yard with pumpkins, making foam pumpkin faces, stringing pumpkin shaped beads, and creating pumpkin sticker collages with her family. Layla went along for the ride with just as much excitement.
Faven can't go home without a big hug goodbye from Miss Diana.
The big hit this year was dressing up. Not so much last year. Pooh and piglet are super popular in our house, so it only made sense to dress them up in huge plush costumes as such. Think snow suits in the desert. They didn't seem to mind.
Pooh and Layla both LOVE honey!
Is Faven pulling off Pee Wee Herman's dance moves? She's got talent.

They practiced the art of trick-or-treating before we went out to do the real thing. Faven was not shy taking candy from our neighbors. This girl always surprises us.

Joey and I followed Layla and Faven as they knocked on 6 houses in our neighborhood. They ate a piece of candy each before they went to bed. Faven took a bite of a Kit-Kat and gave the rest to me. Mine and Layla's jaws dropped.

Looking back
