Pumpkin Picking

As you can tell from the picture below, we went to MacDonald's Ranch. Thanks, Layla. Nice legs.

We had a slightly different experience than last year. We weren't sweating from blazing heat and we didn't have to lug around a stroller in the desert. Layla and Faven loved the petty zoo, bounce house, hay maze, and pumpkin picking the best.

We met up with Erin and Connor (5 y) at the ranch late Sunday morning. As soon as they arrived,  we took a 5 minute hayride to the patch to pick out a few pumpkins to bring home.  Out of all the kids, Connor was most determined to find the perfect pumpkin. He looked and looked and realized his ideal pumpkin was in Layla's hands. Connor asked Layla if he could have her's.  I wasn't sure how Layla would respond to his request but then I remembered what Layla told me last week after our trip to the Zoo with Connor and his sisters. Layla said, "I love Connor". Layla gave him her nice round pumpkin without thinking twice because, after all, she loves him, and that's what friends are for.
Faven taking it all in.
