Happy (belated) Easter! With just the four of us, we filled the weekend with family fun. Fun for Layla equates to crafts these days. So that is just what we did...Easter style. We dyed E
aster eggs, made plastic egg critters, decorated bunny cookies, and colored with bunny shaped crayons.
Faven cheerfully watched her sister create masterpieces.
Faven was perfectly fine waking up at dawn to participate in Easter activities, Layla, not so much. We made the mistake of quickly getting Layla out of bed, dressing her, and encouraging her to see what the Easter Bunny had left her. Overall, she was pleasant but she could have
benefited from a few more minutes to "wake-up". In less than an hour, we covered the kid Easter basics and ended the morning with special bunny shaped pancakes. We should have started the day with pancakes if you asked me. Well, now we know. Food before fun.
We begin this Easter morning with a cup of tea...
Grandma and Pap-pap sent a big box full of gifts to help them get ready for summer. A new swimsuit and a set of golf clubs for Layla and a pool raft for Faven. Layla's godmother, Aunt Emmy and Uncle Tim sent Layla a nice Easter package filled with art materials and stickers, as well.
Rewind to 2010: Easter with Aunt Meg and Cousin Carter (in her belly).

I absolutely love that you captured Layla's reaction to the Easter Bunny on camera...and Joey and you are hilarious. "Look at the bunny tracks!" lol. I'll tell you what the bunny would've left...pieces of bunny poop :) But we'll save that for a later Easter, lol.
