Layla is an early riser. Way early. Too early. Lately, Layla has been creeping into our bed at 5am to inform us that the sun is up. Is it, Layla? Ok, the sun is barely up. Soon after, we hear Faven screaming at the top of her lungs. Our day begins, even on the weekends, no later than 5:30am. They go to bed later than usual on weekends, too. What gives.
Layla, Faven and I went to the train park at 7:00am last Sunday. I thought it could be good idea to leave early to beat the weekend crowds and, of course, the heat. The only people at the park were staff and there was a cool breeze in the air. Mission accomplished.
By 7:15, Layla already stuck her little hand in the diaper bag and pulled out "princess gums gums" - a special treat (fruit snacks with Tinkerbell on the wrapper) JY bought her during their weekly trip to the grocery store.
We had a great time alone at the park. Faven marched up each step to slide down every slide, big and small. She is fearless. In recent news, Layla swung on a big kid swing alone on her bum - not on her belly per usual. I'm not sure how a swing scares her to death but flying 6 feet in the air on a giant seesaw doesn't.
We were back at home by 9:15am...as if the day didn't even begin. It was a super long day since Joey had to fly to Florida that morning for the week. We went to a splash park after naptime and watched Disney Sing-A-Long dvd before dinner. Faven and Layla actually jumped for joy when I put this on. They are SO alike.

Climbing up steep stairs and calling for Layla at the top - "Ya Yaaaa"! She calls for Layla more than anyone in the house. Layla calls Faven, "Sista".

| Super Layla! |
| Oh yeah. I know that look. Time to go home before we all take a dive. Two+ hours at the park is way over our limit. |
