We had a very exciting week with Aunt Meggy and Cousin Carter in sunny Arizona. Megan wasn't sure if she could handle flying across the country with an active 7 month year old boy that happened to be sporting a huge cast. You can read more about how the poor little dude fractured his leg here. Meg knew it was best for everyone to keep her plans and leave the snow behind. It was so nice to have all the kids together under one roof.We surprised Carter with this cake when he arrived. Layla did not stop talking about the steps she took to make this cake all week. It went something like this, "Big cookie, candies, hot oven, wait, hot, get well, Carter". Yup, all in one sentence. She was very proud of her work.

Carter looking for a little love from his cousin, Layla. Oh, and that's Faven in the back.

Of course, we read LOTS of books.

Uncle Joey and Casper.

Layla surrounded by a school of fish at the aquarium. If Layla heard the word "swim" she would dive on the floor belly first and pretend to swim like the fish.

Feeding the ducks with friends.

Cousins!

We took lots of walks around the neighborhood. Megan got a kick out of pushing around our double stroller. It feels like you are pushing a train. It's huge!
Speaking of trains...we had to stop by the train park with the kiddos!
Our big night out at a sushi bar with a few of my girlfriends.
We had one Saki Bomb each that set us back a few days. Typical Moms.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure our next night out will be splitting a wine cooler.
