Everyone Needs a Dance Partner

Funny story, although this might be one that you ‘had to be there’. On our way to the park Saturday morning, Layla and I passed by a field in which a fitness boot camp was underway. While young adults work on their Scottsdale bods, the song “We like to move it move it” was blaring from gigantic speakers. Great song. Needless to say, for every 6 mini steps toward the park, Layla would let go of my hand, stop and dance for a few seconds. Once she had a her fill, she grabbed hold of my hand and continued to walk as nothing happened. She had about four solid dance sessions in the parking lot that day. It must have taken us an extra 10 minutes just to get to the slide and sand pit, her park favorites.

Perhaps she is amazed by the sound of MJ's voice and wondering where it is coming from. I love to see Layla really get into the music. Her head sway and deep squat moves are out of this world. Her partner isn't too shabby either.
