Layla took her first steps around 11 1/2 months...we think. It was hard to decipher her official "first steps" because she wasn't exactly sturdy until about 1 year. Layla would take a couple steps and dive into our arms face first. Since her momentum took her from point A to point B, we didn't think it was time to get overly excited - although we praised her like crazy for her solid efforts. She started to feel confident in herself and walked many steps on her own just one week ago. As you will see in this video, she is so excited to walk on her own each time she tries.

Love Layla's sneaks and seeing her walking! So exciting! About the carrots...we haven't tried them yet, they are next up though so I'll let you know how it goes. She loves the pears though!
