Who Wears Short Shorts

I pick up the girls everday from daycare at 4:15pm and meet Dad at home around 4:45pm. Joey and I take turns cooking dinner and eat as a family around 5:30pm. Layla (3 y) is in bed around 7:00pm and Faven (17 m) goes down around 6:30pm.  Yesterday we had leftovers so we all played outside with balloons and buckets of water before and after dinner.

Faven was fully entertained chucking water balloons in the yard, running after them, picking them back up and putting them in a bucket. Finally, she transfered all 6 balloons into another bucket sitting right beside it. This cycle continued for about an hour.  At one point, while we were all inside with the back door open, she was found sitting in the yard transfering all water balloons from one bucket to the other. Back and forth, back and forth.  She was very content and made a fuss about coming inside for dinner. This was the longest lasting outdoor activity known to man in our household. Awesome.

Patiently waiting in her short shorts for Dad to fill up balloons with water.

Playing catch with Faven. He didn't actually throw her a balloon overhand and Faven didn't actually catch the balloon. It bounced off her belly.

Happy to be outside playing with water on a cloudy low 90 degree day.
Must have been a busy day at school.
Transfering balloons from one bucket to the other.
She kept splashing herself each time she dropped a balloon into a bucket.
BIG girl, Faven!
