Layla started to talk about turning 3 and having a party almost every day since we celebrated Faven's Birthday in November. Layla asked us if she could have a "Simba" party and invite all of her friends the day after Faven's party. Of course the answer was, yes and yes. I mean, we still sing songs from The Lion King every night (video clip here) - how could we dare to decline her requests. About 30 of our friends came to her party at the park including 5 of her pals from school and a few of Joey's boys from Virginia Tech visiting from NOVA.
Needless to say, she had a ball. Layla looked and felt like a princess or maybe Nala all day!
We were so busy hosting our little party and taking care of Faven that wasn't feeling 100% that we didn't even break out our camera or Flip. She really did. The first things she said today (the morning after her bday) was, "I'm 3, Dad"!
