For Valentine's Day yesterday, Aunty Em and Layla made a special art project for their special somebody. Nothing says love better than a homemade card made with finger paint, fluffy balls, sticky hearts, markers, glue and glitter. We took Layla's new art supplies from Emmy and went outside for craft time.
Layla does some type of simple craft at least once a day. We took craft time up a notch for this special occasion.
Layla's favorite part was placing the fluffy balls on the glue. She also liked shaking the glitter on the glue designs, in this case, our names. She chanted "Faven, Faven, Faven" when Emmy wrote her little sister's name on the card.
Layla went absolutely nuts when she showed Daddy her two masterpieces. She jumped up and down and shouted as she described exactly what was on the foam board and paper. Daddy surprised his girls with a beautiful bouquet of red roses that Layla smelled over and over again.
